SWISS optio flow switch
The flow switch at a glance:
- for mobile and stationary usage in medical equipment
- automatic change-over from gas cylinder to stationary gas supply
- on interruption of the stationary gas supply, the gas cylinder reassumes the supply
- permits optimizing the use of gas sources
- operates without external energy (currentless)
The flow switch change-over valve permits the automatic change-over of the gas supply from a gas cylinder (e.g. in an ambulance) to a stationary supply (central gas supply system in a hospital or clinic).
The inlet pressure of the oxygen cylinder is set to 4.5 bar. As soon as a stationary supply is available (pressure between 3 to 6 bar), the flow switch changes automatically to the stationary supply. If the stationary supply is omitted (e.g. on transports), the gas cylinder automatically takes over again the supply.
The flow switch has two holes M5 for mounting to an item of medical equipment.
The flow switch permits the optimised management of the gas supply on the basis of the extended operating duration of the mobile equipment (gas cylinders).
