History

Founded in 1935 by brothers Otto and Fritz Gloor and backed by many years of experience in the manufacture of fittings for industrial gases, we launched our first pressure regulator for medical technology in the 1990s.

In 1994, the certification of the entire company in accordance with ISO 13485 Quality Management System for Medical Devices laid the foundation for tackling the demanding challenges of developing, producing, and distributing high-quality medical devices.

In 2007, the foundation for the successful development of the German market was laid with the establishment of Gloor Medical GmbH in Lübeck.

In 2014, a separate installation department for central gas supplies in hospitals was established as a branch in Sursee, which now allows us to offer healthcare institutions in Switzerland a complete range of services from installation and equipment to maintenance and service.

In 2023, we were awarded the MDR certificate by TÜV SÜD. This is an important step that lays the foundation for us to remain a high-quality and trustworthy partner for our customers in medical technology in the long term.

The company is still wholly family-owned today. For many years now, the company has been successfully managed by the second generation of Dr. Regula Gloor (sales/administration) and Markus Gloor (technology/production).

With Barbara Gloor and Fabian Gloor joining the management team as the third generation, the future of our family business is secure. Over the next few years, the third generation will gradually take over responsibility for continuing the successful development of our company in the long term.
