Control and shut-off valve box

Control and shut-off valve box

The control and shut-off valve box at a glance:

  • for monitoring the supply pressure for medical gases and vacuum
  • allows shutoff of the subsequent supply pipeline
  • optical and acoustic alarm indicates deviation from preset operating pressure
  • pressure display also available with digital output - shut-off unit configured for 1-5 media
  • the application is mainly in hospitals and clinical departments

The control and shut-off valve box monitors the pressure of medical gas or vacuum supplies to the following unit (ward, operating theatre, floor etc). At the same time, single or all supply lines can be shut off for modification, retrofitting etc by activating the corresponding ball valves. Up to five media can be monitored per box.

The control and shut-off valve box activates an optical and acoustic alarm when the pressure is above or below the preset operating value. The pressure range and alarm threshold can be individually set. The alarm of the control and shut-off valve box can also be sent to an auxiliary warning device or as an option it can be registered using a digital interface and transferred via a bus system.

With the gas-specific NIST-connectors an emergency supply is guaranteed. For inspection / control of the pressure transmitters the BYPASS can be used. With the shut-off spindle the area around the pressure transmitter can be depressurized and in this way a gas shortage can be simulated. To protect against unauthorised access, the control and shut-off valve box has a lock with emergency opening on the front panel.

The control and shut-off valve box corresponds to the norm EN ISO 7396-1. CE marking according to Guideline for Medical Products 93/42/EEC.
